The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts is a major contemporary art museum located in Amman, Jordan. JNGFA hosts Midan: Amman Dance Lab in its initiative, Sadeem Performance.
The School of Hard Knocks (SOHK) is an award winning dance organization based in New York City. Midan: Amman Dance Lab has produced over 8 major dance productions in Jordan and the region in partnership with SOHK.
NCCA Dance is an anchor in Amman's dance scene. It produces the annual Amman Contemporary Dance Festival, hosts numerous classes and workshops, and is the home of MISK Dance Company.
Studio 8 is a vibrant center for performing arts in Jordan. The company also creates innovative original danceworks that tour locally and internationally. Studio 8 produces dance biennale: IDEA - International Dance Encounter Amman (IDEA).
King's Academy's dance program nurtures dedicated students in contemporary dance and dabke. The Program has collaborated with Midan on numerous projects such as 1000 Gifts of Dance and Alone Together. It has also hosted Midan projects as a residency space and a performance venue.
King's Academy is a coeducational boarding high school based in Madaba, Jordan. The dance program was established in 2007 by Ryuji Yamaguchi. While the program focuses on contemporary dance and dabke (Arab folk dance), with a strong emphasis on student choreography, students are also exposed to Hip Hop dance and other dance forms. Students have the option of enrolling in dance classes for academic credit, participating in the co-curricular program after school, and engaging in dance in an extracurricular capacity. In addition to the semi-annual dance concerts on campus, students have the opportunity to connect with dancers in Amman through Midan projects.
